A PRAYER FOR OUR NATION FROM 2 TIMOTHY 2

O God, as we look around at our world today, we see all kinds of evil and wickedness. In all honesty, sometimes we see that evil in us. We have all turned from Your ways, O Lord, and have gone our own way. We’re doing what seems right in our own eyes rather than doing what You teach us is right. Those who choose not to believe in You are many and the world seems to be getting more spiritually dark all the time.

Teach us to represent You and Your Truth well. Help us, Father, not to be quarrelsome but to speak the Truth both boldly… in love, gentleness and clarity. May we do our best to present ourselves to You, O God, as faithful followers of Christ, approved by You. May we be workers who do not need to be ashamed of our own behavior. Grant us wisdom and courage to correctly handle Your Word of truth in a wicked generation.

May we learn to avoid godless chatter which only stirs up more trouble.

Almighty God, we know by faith in Christ we belong to you. Our foundation is solid, founded on the Solid Rock of Jesus Christ Himself. Thank You that The Lord knows those who are his. Help us to be Your followers, who confess the name of the Lord.

Day by day, grant us Your strength to turn away from wicked-ness. By the power of Your Holy Spirit may we walk holy and blameless in Your sight.

Those who oppose You Lord are many and seem very powerful. Together they look like giants to us. We confess that sometimes we look at our opponents as our enemies and not as those who have been deceived and blinded by the Devil. Remind us of what Your Word says, The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. They are volunteer prisoners of war in this spiritual war. Forgive us Father. Help us to see the lost through Your loving eyes Lord. Fill us with love for the lost.

So we pray that each one will repent of evil and turn from their wicked ways. May the Truth of Your Word be revealed to them before it’s too late. Open their eyes Lord. We pray they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. You have a much better plan for each one of them…and for us as well. Open their eyes Lord. And open our eyes too.

We confess we wonder sometimes if there is any hope. Our world looks so dark sometimes. Fear of the future seeks to choke hope right out of our hearts. Hopelessness is rampant around us.

In the face of that, we confess there is always hope in Jesus. We are your followers and we continually choose to pursue Jesus. We make it our life-long goal to pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Holy God, help us to walk in Your ways by faith in Jesus Christ. In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray, Amen!

For ALL Families:

A few years ago the Churches of Sneads Ferry invited Walk Thru the Bible to Sneads Ferry and held two different Saturday workshops to help people learn the BIG picture of the Bible. Some of you remember it well... It was AWESOME! I just learned today about a way to include your family in this FOR FREE! Check it out on YouTube. It's called "Step into the Story" and is for ALL AGES. It will truly be a blessing to all who participate. Enjoy!

Dear NRCC Family,

1. NRCC is worshipping together in-person on Sundays!

We have two services: 8:30 am & 10:45 am, We will continue with 6’ social-distancing and sit every other row in the Sanctuary.

Please use hand sanitizer when you enter and exit the building. Thanks to the volunteers who help sanitize the Sanctuary after each Service. Masks are up to your personal choice.

If anyone is afraid or not feeling well, etc. please stay home until you feel ready for in-person worship.

The Ushers will help seat people before and during worship.

For Communion, the Ushers will wear gloves and will be the only ones handling the Communion Plates. Each worshipper will pick up their stack of the wafer and juice. The Offering plates will be available at the exit.

The Facebook Livestream will continue indefinitely at the 10:45am Service.

Things aren't exactly back to normal, but we're together again! And we are learning best practices as we go along.

2. The Lord has allowed NRCC to purchase land for future ministry! The 12.73 acres are located at 2105 Hwy. 172 in Sneads Ferry. I hope you’ll take a few minutes and walk the land. It is beautiful! We have walked the property several times and it is good, buildable land, with only the very back .66 of an acre is wetlands. There are a couple of pictures below.

Vision Team 2020, a long-term visioning team has been formed and is meeting to seek God's direction for the long range view. Once the visioning is done, a team will form to develop the long-term Master Plan for the property. After that we will focus on Phase 1 blueprints and construction. Of course, funds are needed for all of this. Your designated offerings for the Building Fund are welcome and encouraged.

Please pray for God’s will to be done in this matter. We all want to follow the leading of the Lord in everything…especially in something so important to the ministry of NRCC.

We had an AMAZING workday on Sept. 19. A total of 49 people showed up to help! That's a record for NRCC! We really got a LOT of work done. Thank you to all who helped. Enjoy a few pictures below.

Can We Trust The New Testament?

YES WE CAN!

Click on this picture to check out this brief video. Here is a comparison of manuscript evidence for the New Testament compared to the manuscripts of other ancient works. Thank You God for Your reliable, trustworthy Word!

YOU CAN SPONSOR CHILDREN FROM OUR WEBSITE

Now, you can go to the Children of Promise web page to sponsor a child. Tell your church and friends about this new opportunity.

We are excited about this easy option to sponsor children. As time goes by, we will offer more children who can be sponsored.

If you go to the web page and have any questions or want to sponsor a child with options not offered (from a different country, a certain age, etc.) simply call us and talk with us.

What is Apologetics?

The word apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia found in 1 Peter 3:15, "Always be prepared to give an answer [defense –apologia] to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." Apologia is a legal term that simply means “defense.” Apologetics is a branch of Christian theology that is concerned with making a defense, or case, for the truth claims of the Christian Faith. The purpose of Apologetics is not to apologize for God but to present reasonable explanations for believing Christianity is true.

Choose Life tags are available NOW in NC!

As you may have heard, even though there was a big splash with the announcement that the 4th District Federal Court had reversed its decision about the legality of the NC Choose Life license plate, there have still been more steps required before manufacturing could begin.

The license plates are available for order through the NCDMV. Cost is $25 a year with $15 of that going to pregnancy care centers all around NC. This is a subtle but important message to our fellow citizens of how important human life is to Our Lord. Click the link below to apply.
